About Hulda Card
Descendant of Mayflower Passenger George Soule
Biography
G.T Ridlon in A contribution to the ... genealogy of the families named ... Soule, ... p. 332, listed a Hannah Soule, daughter of Ezekiel Soule and Hannah (Delano) as the wife of Joel Card married in Woolwich, Maine, 22 April 1780. [1]
However, more recent research, shows this to be an error. Joel Card married Hulday Sole, April 1780 in Woolwich (then part of Lincoln County, Massachusetts)[2] or 1 May 1780[3]
Huldah, instead, was the granddaughter of Ezekiel, daughter of John Soule and his first wife Patience Wormall.[3][4]
Huldah was born probably in Duxbury about 1763 and was baptized in Woolwich 18 Nov 1770.[3]
