Hannah Hamblin was baptized July 1714, the daughter of Benjamin Hamblin of Barnstable, Massachusetts[1] [2]

On March 7, 1732, Hannah Hamblin married Jonathan Crosby, the son of John Crosby and Hannah Bangs of Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts[1] [3] [2].

Their children included:

  • Benjamin, born May 15, 1734[4] [2] [3]
  • Jonathan, born 1735, who died in 1736[2] [3]
  • Jonathan, born July 16, 1738[5] [3], who married Martha Howard in December 1762. This was the first marriage recorded in Yarmouth, NS[2]
  • John[2] [3]
  • Samuel or Lemuel[2] [3]
  • Abijah[2] [3]
  • Ebenezer, who was married September 4, 1844 to an unknown woman, who died; and then married Elizabeth Robinson, daughter of Jabez Robinson[2]
  • Charles Huckins, born February 26, 1758[3], who married Miriam Saunders, daughter of Joseph in 1785, and who died March 17, 1828[2]
  • Rebecca, who married Daniel Raymond 1st of Yarmouth on May 10, 1775[2]

The family emigrated to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in June 1761. Some of the children returned to Massachusetts, and others remained in Yarmouth, where their descendants live today.
