Hannah Savage at the time of the marriage [was] also the step-dau. of Nathaniel's father. The Major-General Daniel had married Mrs. Hannah Savage, mother of Hannah, about 1684. Hannah Savage's father was Habijah Savage, b. Aug. 1, 1638, grad. Harvard Oct. 28, 1659 - m. May 8, 1661 Hannah Tyng, b. May 7, 1640, d. Oct. 28, 1688, (she m. 2nd Major General Daniel Gookin.) Hannah Tyng's father was Edward Tyng, Boston merchant, b. 1610, d. Dec 28, 1681, m. about 1636, Mary Sears.

Habijah's father was Thomas, son of William Savage, b. 1604, came from London in the "Planter", 1635, d. Feb. 14, 1682. His mother was Faith Hutchinson, dau. of William H. and Ann Marbury.
