About Hannah Anna Kriegel

On a visit to Germany in the summer of 1922, Hanna Kriegel was the one who took the now-famous "Rosenthal Photo" She herself can be seen in a separate photo. There are several people on the Rosenthal-photo of whom no other photo is known to exist.

Hanna's children, Martin and Giesela both were born in the USA in the late 1800's and her husband is a non German so it is safe to assume that she has left Germany also in the late 1800's. Hanna seems to be the first in her family to do so, this is important because the rest of her family up until 1939 were to follow and thus were saved from the claws of nazi Germany.
