About Hannah Niles
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/37294975/hannah-niles
Disputed Origins
- Hannah is NOT a child of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins. Source: http://www.alden.org/our_family/aldenbiography.htm#Children
- Not a known child of Edith Squire & Henry Adams
- The name "Adams" has been posted on the internet as Hannah's surname, but I don't know the source of that claim nor the proof.
- Until proof is provided it should be written as: Hannah [?Adams] (Ames) Niles or Hannah (___) Ames, widow of William. (From Allen D. Niles)

GEDCOM Note
New England Marriages Prior to 1700 has the following entry: “Ames, William (?1605-1655, 1654) -1Hannah m/2 John Niles 1660; b 1641; Braintree” This indicates their first child was born in 1641, so it is assumed that they married prior to that date.
