Hannah Scudder was christened on 19 August 1649 at Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the daughter of John Scuddder and his wife Mary (King). She survived William, and died 13 May 1739 at Foster Meadows, Queens, New York, British Colonial America.
William Smith of Jamaica and Hannah Scudder, daughter of John Scudder of Maspeth Kills (at Newtown) were given a warrant for marriage license on 4 January 1668/9.
William Smith, the son of Bartholomew Smith and his wife Jane, was born about 1645 in Hempstead, Queens, New York and died about 1702 at about age 57 in Foster Meadow, Nassau, New York.
Children
*Since Abraham Smith's probate records identify Hannah (Smith) Flewelling as the daughter of his brother, William Smith, and since, to date, only one flewelling is a candidate for her husband (the Thomas Flewelling in the 1698 census of Hempstead with a wife, Hannah); it is presumed that the unknown Flewelling is Thomas Flewelling, son of Thomas and Hannah (Ashman) Flewelling.
