Hannah Sparke

Hannah Jones married John Sparke born 6 February 1778 Northumberland, England. Enumerated in Ulster Township, Luzerne County (that portion that became Bradford County), Pennsylvania in 1800 with two males of age sixteen and under age twenty six (b. 1775-84), one female under age ten (b. 1791-1800), and two females of age sixteen and under age twenty six (b. 1775-84). Enumerated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1810 with two sons and two daughters all under age ten in the household. They removed to Vicksburg, Mississippi. John died 13 September 1829 buried Cedar Hill City Cemetery, Division B, Lot 42 with daughter Frances, Vicksburg, Mississippi. Hannah enumerated in Warren County, Mississippi in 1830 with one male of age twenty and under age thirty (b. 1801-10), one female of age ten and under age fifteen (b. 1816-20), and one female of age fifty and under age sixty (b. 1771-70). Hannah returned to New York and lived on the north side of Church Street, Elmira, New York near Main Street. Hannah was enumerated in Elmira, Chemung County, New York in 1840 with one male of age fifty and under age sixty (b. 1781-90), and one female of age sixty and under age seventy (b. 1771-80). Hannah was enumerated in Elmira in 1850, living alone. Hannah died 30 June 1858 at son William Henry Sparke's farm near Louisville, Kentucky.

On the night of the 30th of June in Jefferson County, KY, in the 80th year of age, at the residence of her son, W. H. Sparke, Mrs. Hannah Sparke, a native of Norwalk, Connecticut (Louisville Daily Courier, Louisville, Kentucky, Friday, July 2, 1858).
