Harris' book says "Mrs. Wayne Heath of San Antonio Texas has done a lot of research on the Thomson family and says that Thomas Thomson's wife was Hannah McAllister, daughter of William McAllister and a Garland. Also, she states that Thmoas was the son of Samuel Thompson of Scotland. The author does not have official proof of the family past Thomas Thomson."
