A RUNAWAY IN JAIL Committed to the Jail of Clarke county, Ala 18 June 1856. A negro woman who says her name is Hannah and that she belongs to Mr. John Lane of Monroe County, AL. [John Lane] Said woman is about 25 years of age, five feet high, dark complexion, has a scar on the left side of her head The owner is requested to come forward and prove property, pay charges and take her, or she will be dealt with as the law directs.
