About Hannibal Buress
Hannibal Buress (/ˈhænᵻbəl ˈbʌrᵻs/; born February 4, 1983) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He plays Lincoln Rice in the Comedy Central series Broad City and serves as a sidekick to Eric André on The Eric Andre Show. He previously wrote for shows like Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock.
Buress is a native of Chicago, Illinois and was raised in its Austin neighborhood. He was named after the Carthaginian military commander Hannibal Barca. After attending Steinmetz High School, he briefly attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
He is the youngest of four children, with a 12-year gap between him and the third child. He chooses to not talk about his family in interviews.
