Hans Peter Ahlers

Hans P. Ahlers LINDSBORG - Hans Peter Ahlers, 71, died Feb. 15, 2007.

He was born April 24, 1935, in Hamburg, Germany, the son of Arthur W. and Ilse C.F. Freund Ahlers. A resident of Lindsborg, he was a former German professor at Bethany College.

On May 30, 1964, he married Jeanne Kallis in East Orange, N.J. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Michael, Lenexa; two brothers, Dr. Rolf, Albany, N.Y., and Jurgen, Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernd.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. Burial will be in Smoky Hill Cemetery, Lindsborg.
