About Hans "Jorgen" Jørgen Hanson
Hans took the last name of Hanson--all the other children took the last name Sunde. Hans and his wife had 11 children. Many of them died in infancy. He was a Waseca County commissioner from 1900 to 1908. Hans was the last surviving veteran of the Civil War from Waseca County. He was buried on Memorial Day in 1932.
