Hans Olson

Hans Olson was the son of Ole Tostensen (1793-1860) and Gunne Hansdatter; born 21 Apr 1801 and died 1866; and was the brother of Thosten (Thomas) Olson

Obituary of Hans Olson:

"Died at his home 2 miles northeast of Steen, Hans Olson at the age of 70 years. His health has been failing for some time so his death did not come unexpected. The deceased was a religious and quiet man who never had an enemy and his greatest delight was to talk about religious matters and try to lead those with whom he associated to live a Christian life and he himself set a good example. He was born at Aadalen, Norway, June 2, 1829. Emigrated to America in 1869, lived near Oconomowoc, Wis., about one year, came to this state in spring of 1870 and took a homestead in Clinton township Rock county, where he lived up to the time of his death. He was buried at the U.L. cemetery between Steen and Hills Tuesday."
