BIOGRAPHY Hans gen. Doktor von Baruth, Herr auf Würbitz, was the son of Ketil von Baruth, Herr auf Schützen, and a lady of the Schirowsky von Schirowa family. With his wife Hedwig he had a son Stanislaus who would have progeny to continue the line. Johann Sinapius, in his _Schlesischen Curiositäten_ (1720), describes Hans as a wealthy knight in Oels, who also possessed the estates of Elgoth and Krütschen. He died in 1505.
