About Harav Shmuel Eliyahu
Shmuel Eliyahu (Hebrew: שמואל אליהו; b. 29 November 1956 (25 Kislev 5717)) is an Israeli rabbi. He is the Chief Rabbi of Safed, Israel, and a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council. Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu received his rabbinic ordination at the age of 23 in 1979. He started his career as the Rabbi of the northern Israeli town of Shlomi in 1985. He was appointed Chief Rabbi of Safed on April 11th, 1989 and has been serving in that position since.
