About Hardy Musselwhite
Hardy Musselwhite, 74-year-old Lumberton retired rural mail carrier, died at his home, on March 23, 1948, this morning after an illness of several years. He had been confined to bed since last June and in a critical condition for days past.
He was born in the Tolarsville section of Robeson county on November 18, 1873. In 1904 he was married to the former Miss Ellen Smith.
Mr. Musselwhite was preceeded in death by his parents, Richard Musselwhite and Martha Musselwhite.
Surviving are five daughters, Miss Eva Musselwhite of the home, Mrs. Phil Walker of High Point, Mrs. T.V. Baker, Jr. of Lumberton, Mrs. Vance Ausband of Albermarle and Mrs. Woody Anderson of Tarboro; one brother, Luther Musselwhite of St. Pauls; two sisters, Mrs. Lummie Powers of Lumberton and Mrs. B.C. Broom of Clinton; and four grandchildren, Sally Ausband and Susan Ausband, Martha Ellen Anderson and Woody Anderson, Jr.
