About Harmanus Wiser
Harmanus Kreydenwys, aka (Harmon Crydenwise) (Harmon Wiser), and his first wife, Eunice St. John and family (3 children,Abraham, Harmon and Rachel), are listed in the 1800 U. S. Census in Milford, Otsego County, N.Y., as Harmon Wiser and family. In the 1810 Census of Middlefield, Otsego County, he and his second wife, Mary E. Gallup are listed as H. Crydin and family. The family moved, in 1811, to Clarence Hollow, Niagra Co., (now Erie Co.) and are listed in the 1820 Census as Harmon Crydermorse (mispelling) and family. Harmon bought at least three lots from the Holland Land Company in Township 12, Ranges 5 and 6 in or near Clarence Hollow, Erie Co., New York, 1808 and 1819.
In 1822 the family moved to Conneaut Township, Crawford Co., Pa., where the 1830 Census lists him as Harmon Wyser.
According to a deed of sale of land by his son Levi Wiser, Harmon purchased land in Crawford Co., Pa., from the Pennsylvania Population Company and farmed in Conneaut Township.
