About Henderick Kreydenwys
Henderick Kreydenwys,( aka Henry Crydenwise/Crydenwiser), came to America ca 1759, and after marriage to Rachel Campbell, moved to Albany County, New York (in or near Ballston Spa) that part of Albany Co. that became Saratoga Co. He served in the Revolutionary War in the 12th Albany County Regiment under Colonel Jacobus Van Schoonhoven.
According to various family notes, the family was of Holland Dutch extraction and at one time resided on the Upper Rhine River. One family note suggests the family resided in or near Hoogeveen, Drenthe, Netherlands. In a history of Milford, Otsego Co. N.Y. Johannes (John), son of Henry states father from Germany and mother from Holland.
