About Harold Eriksen Solberg
Harold was born Harald Eriksen. He, his sister, Elsa, and mother emigrated to the United States from Kristinia on 08/18/1911 and landed at Ellis Island on 08/29/1911. His father had already emigrated and was in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His father and two of his Eriksen brothers changed their last name from Eriksen to Solberg which was the name of the "home place".
Harold served in the Minnesota National Guard, the U.S. Army Artillery, the Army Air Force, and the U.S. Air Force. He served for more than 30 years. He was the first man to retire from Topsham {Maine} Air Force Base with 30 years of service.
