The oldest woman in Somerville is Mrs. Harriet Bemis Farrie, one of the real daughters of the Revolution, who will be one hundred years old today, and will pass the day at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anthony Waterman, at 162 Broadway, Somerville, who she has resided for the past eighteen years. She intends at her banquet tonight to make a speech relating her experiences and the changes since her childhood days.
She was born in Quincy on Oct. 30, 1806. She is the daughter of Johanna Fish and Josiah Bemis of Quincy. She was youngest of twelve children and when she was three years of age her parents moved to Cordis stree, Charlestown, where in the old colonial house which is still standing she made her home up to eighteen years ago, when she moved to Broadway.
