MRS. FARRINGTON'S FUNERAL
Will Be Held Tomorrow-Her Death A Serious Loss
Mrs. H.L. Farrington, widow of the late S.P. Farrington, aged 72 years, died Thursday morning, April 28, from a complication of bronchial pneumonia and heart trouble, at the home of her son, Luther Farrington, 2028 Kenwood parkway, where she was visiting. Her illness began three weeks ago on the anniversary of her husband's death, and fatal results were at once feared, but she rallied and seemed to be near a full recovery when the sad change came and she died in a few hours in perfect peace and assured hope.
Mrs. Farrington was one of the best known and most useful women of this city, to which she came about twenty years ago with her husband, after thirty-five years of married life in Chicago. During all these years she has been identified with the city's best interests. As a member of Westminster church she has been one of its most prominent supporters and workers, the founder of its industrial and kindergarten schools, president of its city mission society, as well as an inspiring and devoted force in many other activities. It is given to but few to exercise so wide an influence, both in religious and social circles, where she was greatly honored and loved for her many virtues and endearing personality. She will be widely lamented and her memory tenderly cherished as a beautiful example of Christian character. Two children survive her, both of this city, Luther H. Farrington and Mrs. Franc B. Daniels.
The funeral services will be held in the parlors of Westminster church tomorrow at 3 p.m.
