Life Legacy

Harriet G. Nathanson, age 90, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Esther Goodman, but was raised in New York.

She proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard and met her husband, Col. Philip E. Nathanson, USAF, while they were both in the military.

Once out of the military, Harriet became a vital asset in assisting her husband in his accounting business.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Col. Philip E. Nathanson, USAF (Ret) and by her brother, Meyer Goodman.

Harriet is survived by her beloved children: Victoria Nathanson and Stephen Nathanson; loving grandsons, Matthew and Marcus Nathanson; and also her niece, Diane Spicer.

Harriet was born in the "can do" generation which exemplified honor, courage and most of all, love of family. She was a woman ahead of her time and left a legacy her family is proud of. She was deeply loved and will forever live in our memory and hearts.
