Harriet Hester "Hattie" Rush

Harriett Stiles Rush, 46, of Brave, died this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at her home. Though she had been ill for four weeks, her condition was not considered serious and her death was unexpected by her family and friends.

Mrs. Rush was born near Brave, Oct. 15, 1892, a daughter of Ellis and Catherine Stiles. She spent her entire life in that community. She was married March 29, 1913, to R. M. Rush, who survives. She also leaves the following children: Mrs. Gail Roupe and Robert Rush, of Brave; Mrs. Leota Lapping, of Kuhntown, and Paul and Albert at home. Two brothers and a sister survive, W. J. Phillips, of Brave, Jack Creamer, of Moundsville, WVa., and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Hara in Florida. She leaves four grandchildren.

Mrs. Rush was a member of the Pine Bank M. E. Church.

Short funeral service will be held in the Rush home Thursday, Feb. 2, at 1:30 P.M. with further services in the Kent Methodist Episcopal Church, at Brave. In charge of the Rev. C. C. O'Neal. Burial will be in the Greene County Memorial Park.
