Harry Joseph Crean

H.J. Crean, Old Time Athlete, Expires at 74.

Harry J. Crean, 74, maternal uncle of Henry T. Bullock and Joseph M. Bullock, expired August 9 at the Hahnemann Hospital, Philadelphia. He was associated with the Bullock Chevrolet Co. about 20 years ago. An expert pressman, Crean helped to publish the first issue of the 'Vineland Times', a weekly first printed in the Bullock Building, October 15, 1925. He had made his home in Milmay and Philadelphia for many years. A professional field and track star in the 1890's, Crean competed with and bested some of the best athletes of those days. He is survived by a son, Leo T. Crean, and two daughters, Mrs. Alice Cassidy, Germantown, Pa., and Mrs. Agnes Caldwell, Easton, Pa. Interment will be made in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Mt. Airy, Pa.
