About Harry Kelly, 39th Governor of Michigan
Harry Kelly was an American politician. He served as the 39th Governor of Michigan from 1943 to 1947. In 1954, he was nominated by the Republican party to a seat on the Michigan Supreme Court. He was elected, and served from 1954 to 1971.
His son Brian Kelly was an American actor best known for his role as the father on the television series Flipper. His grandson Brian d'Arcy James is a Broadway star who also appears in films and on television.
