H. E. MacDonald of Vero Beach Passes Away

Harry E. MacDonald, 61, resident and businessman of

Vero Beach since 1918, passed away shortly before noon

Wednesday at his home on Highway 60 west of Vero Beach.

Mr. MacDonald was born in Bellaire, Ohio, July 9, 1898,

and moved to Vero Beach from Toledo, Ohio in 1918. He

owned and operated the MacDonald Gas Company for

19 years, until he sold the business in October of 1957 and retired.

Mr. MacDonald was a Mason, past commander of Felix

Poppall Post #39, American Legion, and a member of the

Christian Science Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Hill MacDonald;

his step-father, W.E. Riggs, Tampa, Fla; a son, Robert of

Globe, Arizona; and a brother, J. W. MacDonald of Jackson, Mich.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later. They are

in charge of the Cox-Gifford-Baldwin Funeral Home.
