About Hartmann V, count of Kyburg
In 1233 Pope Gregory IX took Hartmann IV in his protection in recognition of his efforts to exterminate the heretics. Hartman IV initially administered the Kyburg possessions together with his nephew Hartmann V and founded the Dominican convent Töss near Winterthur in 1234 and the Cistercian monastery Fraubrunnen (Canton Bern) in 1246. The two Hartmanns are also responsible for the founding of the cities of Aarau, Mellingen, Zug and Frauenfeld.
