Funeral services were held for Harvey E. Richardson, 82, Dec. 12 at the United Methodist Church in Chester. Officiating at the service was the Rev. Charles Finney.

Richardson died Dec. 9 in Minneapolis, Minn. He was born June 13, 1896 in Lake County, S.D. He attended school in Lake and Moody counties. He also farmed in these counties all his life. He married Ida Pederson, March 19, 1931 in Sioux Falls. His wife preceded him in death in 1972.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth, Chester; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Bowen, Downey, Calif., Mrs. Arlene Jones, Lake Preston, and Mrs. Dorothy Rathbun, Huron; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Daniel Baldwin, George Reiff, Merlin Hefner, James Entringer, Terry Baumberger and Herman Pederson. Richardson was buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
