He was born September 4, 1926, in Watertown, NY, the son of Oren Frank and Leona Schorge Durham. Woody attended Rutland Copenhagen High School and furthered his education at Central Aeronautics School in Kansas City, MO. Mr. Durham operated his family's dairy farm for many years. Following his retirement from farming, he was employed as a Federal Food Inspector until his retirement in 1987. On May 30, 1970, he married Helen J. Mills in St. John's Episcopal Church, Whitesboro. Mr. Durham was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was a private pilot and an avid enthusiast for flying. He was an avid reader and a collector of fountain pens and pencils. Survivors include his wife, Helen; his sister, Carol O'Donnell, Oceanport, NJ; several nieces and nephews; his brother-in-law, Walter Mills; brother-in-law, James Bigelow; and his special canine companion, "Tassie". He was predeceased by his brother, Elwyn Durham, and his sister, Carmeta Moore... Interment will be in Carr Cemetery, Marcy...
