Biographical Summary

"Hary Inglis of Exmagirdle, born 1724 ; educated at Univ. of Edinburgh; M.A. (17th April 1745); licen. by Presb. of Kirkcaldy 11th Jan. 1750; called 24th Oct. 1751; ord. 23rd April 1752; died 30th Sept. 1799. He marr. (1) 1752, the widow of Mr Maxton : (2) 7th March 1757, Mary Bryce (died 12th June 1802), widow of Allison of Tofthill, Perth, and had issue — William, born 12th April 1758, died 3rd Sept. 1773 ; Hary, born 14th Sept. 1760, died 20th Feb. 1768 ; John, D.D., min. of Old Greyfriars, Edinburgh, born 21st Sept. 1762."
