Ringia State to Blessum

This State was in Blessum, municipality Menaldumadeel.

Drawing by J. Stellingwerf State from 1723

arise The state was probably already built before the 15th century.
History In 1469 was the main rail Doecke Rinia occupant of the Ringia State. He was arbitrator in disputes, a kind of (arbitration) courts and is considered the ancestor of the family Ringia. He was married to Lisck Sickema, from Sickema State to Herbajum. He died on February 2 1478 at Ringia State.
Possession inherited by son Haye who was married to YMCK Glins. Possibly she was a cousin of his, because she was the daughter of Rienck Douwes Glins and Athcke Rinia who lived in the state Glins under Dronrijp.

Next Doecke, grandson of the preceding, in 1529 had to register the swans law in the field of Ringia State. To this was right at that time quite what to do. In medieval lords and free peasants could keep freely swans, but Charles V wanted to make a country great privilege. Everyone had to make a declaration of his rights, but since most had no written evidence, this gave the necessary strife, especially since there is often breach was made. Swans were then very valuable because of their feathers among other pens were made. Doeke was married to Rints Aggedr. Herema from Tzum. He died on May 4, 1541.

Their son Haye Rinia died around 1575 as the last man of this generation.

In the early 17th century, around 1610, the state-owned Jacob Bouritius is who came from Dokkum. His daughter Eelck of Bouritius married in 1635 by mr. Epeus of Glinstra, Registrar of the Court of Friesland and a member of the States General. In 1657 they were Rinia State owners. Epeus died in 1677 and was buried in the church of Blessum.

In 1722 it is stated that the state "Mrs. Glinstra "the State inhabits. That must have been Joan of Glinstra.

In 1749, the state-owned HW van Altena, then former clerk, "now Volmagt at Country Days concerning Tietjerksteradeel" writes EM of Burmania. Altena is that year in Quotisatie (an estate tax) excited for 289-15-0 Caroliguldens. A huge amount indicates a gigantic power. He paid his own 15% of the 2,035 guilders had to muster the village as a whole to tax.

The State was demolished in 1832.

Also, this state is an image preserved Jacobus Stellingwerf from 1723. According to this drawing was an example of the type stins with built between house and barn which the Frisian farmhouse was born. The grounds on which the State was was accessible through a gate that stood over the canal. The gatehouse has a floor and a gable roof gables between alliance and arms above the gate passage.

The State has a not very large porch with nozzle walls and roof are large corner stacks. In front of the porch is a cross window. The "neck" is the arched entrance and a narrow window. Finally, there was covered barn behind it with reeds. Given the form of the farm will be built in the first half of the seventeenth century.
