Hazel Clarissa Nesset

Birth: May 19, 1896 Winnebago County Iowa, USA Death: Dec. 22, 1990 Forest City Winnebago County Iowa, USA Hazel C. (Harris) Nesset Wilson was born to Tobias Harris and Annie Marie Gunderson in 1896 in Mt. Valley Township, Winnebago County, Iowa. She married Jared Nesset 30 Sep 1914. In 1945 they retired from farming and moved into Forest City. They then owned Nesset's Ready-to-Wear Clothing Store. Jared died in 1952. Hazel moved to Mason City and married Royal Wilson on 12 Oct 1969. They spent their winters in TX. Royal died 16 Aug 1974. Hazel returned to Forest City to live until her death in 1990. Children of Jared and Hazel were daughter Vida was born 1915 and died 1916 in Forest City. Daughter Rose Geraldine was born Jan 1919 Mt. Valley Twp, Winnebago County, Iowa. She married James Knudtson of Lake Mills, IA. Her 2nd husband was Orva Sweeney. They lived in Forsyth, MO when her father Jared died. Daughter Violet was born 9 Nov 1916, d. 30 Jun 1999 in Forest City. She had married James Brones, also of Forest City. Son Dr. Jared Paul Nesset, an optometrist, b. 20 Jun 1923 Winnebago County, Iowa. Died 24 Nov 2007 Alamogordo, Otero, New Mexico and was cremated there.
