BIOGRAPHY Heinrich, 8.Fürst von Starhemberg, was born 4 October 1934 in Luzern, son of Ernst Rüdiger, 7.Fürst von Starhemberg, and his second wife Nora Gregor. His father was an Austrian political figure and his mother an Austrian stage and screen actress. Heinrich joined his parents in Latin American exile after the 1938 Nazi annexation of Austria.
Originally a student of law and philosophy, Heinrich became interested in acting during his college years. Since 1964 he has been a well-known producer, director and actor in the four countries he resided in: Spain, Austria, Chile and Argentina.
In addition to his Madrid-based Nora Productions, Heinrich appeared in over forty film and televison roles and on many Latin American and European stages, often under the name Heinrich or Henry Gregor. Heinrich made the family castle in Eferding, Austria home to his Eferding Cultural Institute, which hosts international symposia on European culture and sociopolitics. A novelist and playwright as well, Heinrich's stage works have been produced in several languages in Austria, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Chile and Argentina.
