The entry for his father in the 1835 Molotschna Census at Gnadenheim #7 implies that he was born in Prussia since his father didn't migrate to S. Russia until 1827. One record says he was born 25 May 1824 in Benduga, Prussia and died 27/28 Aug 1887. Another record says he was born 11 May 1823. She was born 30 Jun 1823 in Sparrau, Molotschna, South Russia, and died 21 Dec 1884 in Bingham Lake, MN. He married Katharina - Thiessen 21 Feb 1886 in Henderson, Nebraska.
