Heinrich Ulmann Ephraim (* 24. February 1841 in Weimar; † 17th November 1931 in Darmstadt) was a German historian.
The son of the Weimar physician Claudius Ulmann and grandchildren of the banker Ephraim Ulmann was a student of Georg Waitz. During his studies, he became in 1860 a member of the fraternity Germania Jena. [1] Ulmann put 1867 Habilitation from 1870 and taught until 1874 as Professor of General History at the University of Dorpat. From 1874 taught Ulmann as professor of history at the University of Greifswald. He dealt with the age of Maximilian I, but also with the 19th century [2].
He married Sophie Henle, a daughter Jacob Henle; her daughter Marie was the first woman of the physician Werner cumin and the mother of the theologian Werner Georg Kümmel.
