2-18 August 1617: Sheriffdom of Midlothian: Precept of clare constat by John, Lord Balmerino, in favour of Marion Arnot and Dame Helen Arnot, as heirs to Sir John Arnot of Birswick, their father, in four oxgates in the town of Restalrig, and instrument of sasine following thereon. Helen Arnot is the daughter of Sir John Arnot of Berswick.1 She married, firstly, Isaac Morison.1 She married, secondly, George Home, son of Alexander Home and Christian Erskine, on 4 September 1610.1

George Home, de jure 3rd Earl of Dunbar (a 1637), son of Alexander Home of Manderston and nephew of 1st Earl, certified in his claim in 1634 by the same Lord Advocate.
