Helen I Gearhart

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Helen I. Zimmerman Gearhart, 87, of Menno-Haven and formerly of Long Lane in Greencastle, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at the nursing home. Born March 2, 1913, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Margie Rowe Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Lowell Gearhart, on Aug. 30, 2000. They were married May 1, 1933. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hades Church of the Brethren near Waynesboro, Pa., and of Ladies Aide. She is survived by two daughters, Arlene L. Martin of Greencastle and Linda M. Wagaman of Chambersburg; three sons, Dale L. Gearhart of Shady Grove, Pa., Dean E. Gearhart of Waynesboro and Karl L. Gearhart of Greencastle; two sisters, Frances Peters of Greencastle and Mildred Martin of Okemos, Mich.; a great-aunt; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews.
