Helen Irene Hefflefinger

Helen Irene Heffelfinger, 85, Huntington, died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at her home.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1918, in Watseka, Ill., to Alfred and Elma (Fiddler) Satchwill. She married Franklin Nelson Smith in 1936, in Huntington. He died in 1942. She then married Charley Heffelfinger in 1947, in Wabash County. He died in 1990.

She attended Huntington Township High School and was a homemaker. She had lived in Wabash County from 1947 to 1984, when she returned to Huntington. She was a member of the College Park United Brethren Church.
