SHINNSTON -- Helen "Bonnie" Shingleton Saporito, 71, of Colonial Acres, Bethlehem, died at 3:21 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2003, at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown. She was born November 15, 1931, at Kilarm, a daughter of the late Okey D. Shingleton and Myrtle Hartzell Shingleton Livingston.

She is survived by her husband, Sidney "Sam" Saporito, whom she married June 12, 1948.

Also surviving are 5 children, Andy Saporito and his wife, Mary and Danny Saporito and his wife, Barb, all of Wilmington, NC, Rich Saporito, Joy Martin and her husband, Bub, all of Fairmont, and Sammy Saporito, Lumberport; 1 sister, Barbara Charlesworth, Millville, NJ; 2 brothers, Delbert "Joe Bill" Shingleton, Enterprise, and Thomas E. Shingleton, Spelter; 11 grandchildren, Andy Saporito, Jr., Mike Saporito, Paula Shreve, Misty Rogers, Danny Saporito, Jr., Bubby Martin, Zach Martin, Little Richie Saporito, Ian Saporito, and Tony Saporito; 7 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Saporito was a member of Rebekah Lodge #108, Enterprise. She was a homemaker.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston, from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-1 p.m. Wednesday. A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, with Rev. Arlie Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F Cemetery, Enterprise.
