About Helen de Acton
NEEDS MORE RESEARCH TO VALIDATE HER AS MOTHER OF MAUD ACTON POYNTZ
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=timmychew...
The de Acton family long held the manor of Iron Acton, from which they took their surname. Their arms were: Quarterly per fess indented argent and azure. The arms of Reynold de Acton in the Collins Roll of Arms are blazoned as Quarterly per fess indented azure and ermine.[1]
NOTE FROM DEBBIE, many have John's wife as Helena (Helen) but I found records that she had no issue and that the children were from his wife named Sibyl. Book entitled: "Notes on the Old Crosses of Gloucestershire", that draws from old records.
