The portions of the testator's children from his first marriage to the late Helena Barendina Norberta Bester, viz. Hilletjie Levina Catharina de Klerk, Barend Jacobus de Klerk and Johanna Maria Barendina Jacoba de Klerk, are to be safeguarded by two honest and upright men.

If no children are born of the marriage, the testator's mother, Johanna Maria Durand, widow of the late Barend Jacobus de Klerk, is to receive her legitimate portion .
If the surviving spouse remarries, the estate should be valued by two honest and upright men, to protect the portions due to the children.
