Helene von Kruse

According to sources in Russian archives, she descended from the Mecklenburg nobility and belonged to the Kruse von Varchow family. Her seal from 1730 confirms it, as it bears the Kruse coat of arms.

According to a document in RGADA (1730), she comes from the Mecklenburgian Kruuse af Verchou family and was related (possibly a grandniece) to baron Hans Abraham Kruuse af Verchou (1622-1688; Geni profile).

His possible brother Lorentz von Kruse served in Nieroth's regiment at the same time as Heinrich von Fick.

Helena is included in the genealogical notes kept by von Schantz at Riddarhuset (von Schantz genealogier, volume 2, page 114. Available on ArkivDigital). It is made clear that her great grandfather Abraham Kruuse was the grandfather of Hans Abraham Kruuse, making her Hans Abrahams first cousin once removed.
