About Helge Olsen Stai
In 1762, both Helge and Siri are dead, and the inheritance after them were held. The fortune was then 2828 thalers, so the farm must have been well kept. Siri's two brothers, Peder Lomnes and Tollef Løsset were witnesses at the probate. The eldest son, Ole Helgesen born 1737 took over the farm. Besides Ole, who was 19 years then, there were 7 more siblings, all children. They all grew up to be of the most skilled inhabitants of Stor-Elvdal.
