She was the wife of William Boyer, whom she married on 5 Sep 1841 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reading, Pennsylvania, and was the mother of 14 children. She died at her home in Reading on 8 Mar 1888, having lived her entire life in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

She was survived by her husband; 6 children (William Augustus, Philip Albert, Henrietta Josephine Billig, Mary Martha, Clara May Long, and Jane Edith aka "Jennie"); and 3 sisters.
