April 19, 1929: Moved family (Jacheta and daughters Dora and Geny) from Stashov, Polnad, to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to improve his financial status. After leaving Stashov, family traveled through Europe buying objects such as silver to sell in Brazil. Jacheta was very unhappy in Brazil. She had been spoiled by the family in Poland. She was "kasher" and Brazilian facilities for maintaining this lifestyle were scarce. Life in BVrazil was tough and she was ashamed of the business (selling) activities of Henrique. As a result, in 1930 she returned to Poland wiith her daughters. She was pregnant at the time and a son, Israel, was born in Poland.
Henrique remained in Sao Paulo, lost a lot of money by 1932, but decided to stay and improve his situation. In 1934, Jacheta and the three children returned to Sao Paulo. From this time on, there was no way they could return to Poland --- the climate of anti-Semitism in Europe had escalated tremendously.
1952: With Jacheta, visited brother-in-law Abraham and his wife Minnie and daughter Florence in Baltimore, Maryland.
