Henry & Sarah Ann (Allington) Abbott along with seven children, Louisa, Frederick, Sarah, Phoebe, Arthur, Lucy & Mary Departed London 16/06/1874 on board The Tweed and arrived in Port Chalmers, Otago 03/09/1874. Sadly Mary passed away on the journey out here. They had five more children in New Zealand, Edwin, Minnie, Charlie, George & Walter. Henry came to New Zealand & worked as a plate layer for the railways for 17 years before he died on 22/03/1895
