His will was probated June, 1834, Will Book No. 2, p. 33 - Devises his property to his wife Elizabeth and to his five male children. He lived southeast of South Bluefield.

County Court Orders - 1812 June Term - "Ordered that Henry Bailey & others be recommended to his Excellency the Governor & c. as fit & proper persons to be added to the Commission of Peace in this county."
