Henry Alexander Baldwin, son of Henry Perrine Baldwin (1842-1911) and Emily Whitney Alexander (1846-1943), was b. Jan. 12,1871 at Maui County, Hawaii, USA. He married with ETHEL FRANCES SMITH (1879-1967). Henry Alexander was a US Congressman. From 1915-1917 he served as a Colonel in the 3rd Regiment of the Hawaii National Guard and as a member of the Territorial Senate, 1913-1921. In 1922, he was elected as a Republican to the 67th Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of J. Kuhio Kalanianaole, serving until 1923. He declined to be a candidate for re-nomination; instead engaging in sugar planting. He was a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives in 1933 and a member of the State Senate, 1934-1937.
