Henry Perrine Baldwin (1842–1911) married Emily Whitney Alexander in 1869 and co-founded with Samuel Thomas Alexander the partnership of Alexander & Baldwin, one of the "Big Five" corporations that dominated Hawaii's economy in the early 20th century.

Henry Perrine Baldwin, son of Dwight Baldwin and Charlotte Fowler, was b. Aug. 29,1842, Hawaiian Islands. He m. Apr. 5,1870, Miss EMILY WHITNEY ALEXANDER, dau. Rev. William P. Alexander, of Wailuku, Maui. His children were all born in Makama, Maui.
Children were: Henry Alexander (1871), Maud Mansfield (1872), William Dwight (1873), and Frank Fowler (1878).
In 1876 he manages a sugar plantation at East Maui.
There was also son, b. 1876.
This son is Arthur Douglas (1876). Also, children Charlotte (1884), and Samuel Alexander (1885).
