Henry Bohannon, , Jr.

Henry Bohanan (son of Henry Bohanan and Amillia Shotwell) was born 1803 in Sevier County, Tennessee, and died August 29, 1877 in Sevier County, Tennessee. He married Catherine Powell on Abt. 1825.

Henry was probably born at White Oak Flats, but could have been born on the East Fork over near Crockettsville. He is listed in Sevier Co., TN US Censuses from 1830-1870.

There is an entry for a Henry Bohannon, dated 25 January 1826 for an area of Middle Creek, "a certain tract of land containing fifty (50) acres ... lying on the water of Mill Creek, joined vacant lands and William White's line." This Henry was probably the son of Henry and Amelia, who married Catherine Powell, niece of Horatio Butler who settled in Pigeon Forge.
